Introducing the Technics EAH-AZ60 and EAH-AZ40 earbuds with ANC
With the new EAH-AZ range of wireless earbuds, Technics is shifting its focus from DJ gear, for the dance music industry, into new territory. Designed for everyday use, the Technics EAH-AZ60 and EAH-AZ40 are Bluetooth 5.2 enabled noise-canceling earbuds with enhanced speech isolating microphones. Both models are also suitable for using actively, both in your home or wherever the world takes you. Designed for comfortable discrete listening, their teardrop form should be perfect not only in fitting the shape of your ears, but merging with your lifestyle.
What makes the Technics EAH-AZ60 and AZ40 different?
The entry-level EAH-AZ40 come equipped with a 6mm driver, while the premium EAH-AZ60 model uses an 8mm driver, promising the listener hours of enjoyment with rich low end and great high-frequency reproduction. Both models support the SBC and AAC codecs, while the EAH-AZ60 also uses LDAC. When used economically in the correct operating mode, the charging case can provide up to 25 hours of wireless listening.
The Active Noise Cancelation System
The microphones in each earpiece permit active noise canceling, while the JustMyVoice isolation system ensures optimum speech intelligibility. The Technics EAH-AZ60’s eight microphones shared between the left and right earpieces provide a completely natural communication medium. In addition to this, MEMS microphones are also used for capturing the voice and isolating the frequency range by reducing ambient noise levels through a system called beamforming. This dual hybrid noise-canceling system inside the EAH-AZ60 has both a feedforward system for ambiance reduction, and a feedforward system to focus levels inside the earbuds.
The 2 noise reduction modes have distinct purposes. The Natural Ambient mode uses a wide frequency range to capture, while the Attention mode isolates the presence of the human voice. Both models have a couple of colours on offer, and include a USB charge cable and various ear tip sizes. Pricing for the EAH-AZ40 starts at EUR 149, while the EAH-AZ60 will set you back EUR 229.
