JAM Pedals introduces new Delay Llama Mk 3 Analog Delay, now with Tap Tempo
Using faithful reproductions of the Panasonic MN3205 BBD chips
Based around a set of faithful reproductions of the classic Panasonic MN3205 BBD chips, the new JAM Pedals Delay Llama Mk 3 Analog Delay is all about old school delay tone. And this time, it even features a Tap Tempo function.
JAM Pedals Delay Llama Mk 3 Analog Delay
Hand-made in Athens, Greece, JAM Pedals has some great effects pedals. The Greek brand’s latest offering, the Delay Llama Mk 3, has classic analogue tones using, what the company claims are, honest reproductions of the Panasonic MN3205 BBD. Plus, you also get a very useful Tap Tempo. This means you not only get some great delay tones, but also the ability to keep it all in time with your band, which is always a good thing. You could maybe pair it up with the recently released Seagull pedal, and do your best David Gilmour impersonations.
Mk 3 Analogue Delay Updates
This latest Mk 3 version adds the afore mentioned Tap Tempo, which gives you both subdivisions and Hold (self oscillation) functions. You can also set the pedal to either bypass mode to trails (buffered), or true bypass, making it ideally suited for just about any pedalboard rig/setup. The analogue delay gives you up to 600ms delay time, which is pretty pretty good for this style of echo.
The copmany also makes it clear that the new Delay Llama Mk 3 will work equally well on both guitar and bass, so it looks like it is able to handle low frequencies too. It sounds good in the video demos below, and I think the price is also pretty decent for a hand-made pedal. Especially when you factor in that handy Tap Tempo feature and self oscillation via Hold.
RRP – GBP 189
