Joyo launches new Classic and Multimode Wah/Volume pedals
Two new budget, pedalboard-friendly wah pedals
Joyo has just announced new Classic and Multimode wah pedals, each in a pedalboard-friendly format and with some neat features. And at the usual Joyo price point.
Both the new wah pedals have Wah and Volume functions. The only difference is that the Wah-2 (the red one) also has an added control for the Q value knob, which is oddly named labelled Quality, and a Range knob to adjust the width of the sweep and the pedal’s frequency range. It only costs $10 more, so I would probably say that it is the one to go for.
Pedalboard Friendly
Both units look like they have simple, accessible controls. An LED shows you when they are engaged.
And then there’s the smaller format. Usually, with wah pedals, you have to put them to one side, next to your pedalboard, as they are so bulky. With these two new pedals, could be less of an issue. They could be a good choice for those of you that want wah without the hassle of carrying one around separately to your main board of effects.
In wah mode they are true-bypass, so they won’t mess with your tone when not engaged.
I’m a total wah pedal addict! Currently, I own 16 different ones and so I will have to go and check one of these out as soon as they hit the market.
For now, take a look at the official demo video below. For the money, I think they are a no-brainer for those that need a compact wah pedal, as long as the build quality is up to scratch.
RRP – Wah-1 USD 69 and Wah-2 USD 79

“Quality” is actually the correct term and is what “Q” stands for – have a look at an engineering textbook 🙂
