The latest product in Joyo’s R series of effects pedals is the new R-07 Aquarius delay and looper pedal. This new line of budget effects is already causing a lot of hype, so will this new pedal fan the flames even more?
Joyo R-07 Aquarius
The new Joyo R-07 Aquarius pedal combines eight different delay modes: Digital, Analog, Tape Echo, Tube Echo, Reverse Echo, Low-bit, Galaxy and Mod. These are tweaked using a set of simple Level, Tone and Feedback controls.
But Joyo has also managed to squeeze in a 300-second looper – so you can play along with your own guitar lines, too. And yes, you can run both the looper and delay simultaneously!
If you hold down the bypass footswitch you access the tap-tempo facility. All in all, that feature set for this price should make this delay/looper a contender for your pedal board.

Ambient Lighting
This pedal also shares the ambient lighting feature as the recent Tauren, UZI and O.M.B, and pedals. This means you can set it to being permanently lit to help light up your board or have it set to only come on when the effect is engaged.
The proof is in the sound quality though, so take a listen to the official demo video below and see what you think. For well under a hundred quid, it could be worth a punt though. It’s always handy to have a looper kicking about for when you want to get layering up your guitar lines.
