Kemper Power Kabinet hits the market, with 19 classic speaker imprints
Kemper's Power Kabinet is now on sale
A year go, Kemper announced that it would be offering a powered version of its passive Kabinet to expand its speaker and cab range accompanying its Profiler series. It’s taken a bit longer than anticipated, but Kemper has finally brought it to market. Rated at 200 Watts, the active Power Kabinet houses a Kone speaker that incorporates imprint technology giving you a choice of 19 classic guitar speaker sounds. Has it been worth the wait?
Kemper Power Kabinet
Kemper fans and owners of non-powered Profiler amps have been waiting patiently for the arrival of the new Power Kabinet. Today the wait is finally over. What makes this powered speaker special is the integrated Kemper Kone and its speaker imprint technology that mimics classic speakers. 19 classic guitar speaker imprints come pre-loaded.
Powered Speaker
It is designed to work in harmony with all the Kemper Profiler systems, including the Head, Rack and Stage. Kemper states it will give you one of the best sounding ‘amp in the room’ sounds. But you can also run it in ultra-linear full-range mode if you prefer a more standard PA/powered monitor tone, but with added “Sweetening“ and “Directivity“ parameters that let you tweak the sound to your tastes.
US Shipping issues?
The new units should be shipping out imminently. If you’re in the USA, you may have a slightly longer wait. Kemper says it’s facing a few supply chain issues in the USA.
Due to some logistical challenges at the harbour, the exact delivery date to the US warehouse is still a bit of a moving target. The Kabinets will be on the road soon! We keep you posted!
The Power Kabinet comes with a dust cover, a power cord and a foldable speaker stand for angling the speaker.
