KeyStep 37 & KeyStep Pro in Black: Arturia steals the Darth Vader look again
Arturia has completed the blackening of its Keystep and Beatstep controller line-up with the KeyStep 37 and KeyStep Pro joining the KeyStep, BeatStep, and BeatStep Pro – in Black. They are all in the same grim shade now and prime for beatmaking on board the Death Star.

Nothing seems to have changed beyond the facelift, which isn’t a bad thing. The Arturia controllers are solid all-around, it’s just that plain white isn’t everyone’s preferred aesthetic.
The KeyStep 37 is a three-octave compact MIDI keyboard with touch strips, transport controls, control knobs and sequencing capabilities. The KeyStep Pro expands this layout to include 4 track lanes, dedicated rhythm sequencing, and extended connectivity. Functional and inexpensive, they make friends with almost any production or modular synth setup. It’s no wonder your favorite music YouTubers probably use a bunch of these. Here are the controllers in black – beautiful, aren’t they?
Arturia KeyStep 37 Black & KeyStep Pro Black – Price and availability
There’s no official word on whether the new Black devices are produced in limited numbers like the ones before them. I’m more inclined to believe Arturia will keep the KeyStep 37 and KeyStep Pro Black as “limited edition” products. But it’s just that – an assumption.
The KeyStep 37 Black is up for pre-order now at Thomann. The KeyStep Pro Black is up for pre-order at Thomann. The rest of the Black controllers are available as well. You can check out and buy them using the affiliate links below.

What I wouldn’t give for a Keystep 61 or even 49!
Always bet on black.
