So what are you getting? This eye-popping model has a mahogany body and neck. The later has an Indian Laurel fretboard loaded with 22 frets, a 12″ fretboard radius. The scale length of 24.75″ is just what you’d expect on a Les Paul.
The stand out feature of this signature model is, of course, the striking Electric Blue finish. This is a blue glitter paint job and screams for attention. In addition, there is chrome hardware and blue control knobs that complement the finish. Both the pickguard and truss rod covers are mirrored as well, in true rock’n’roll style. The reverse side of the headstock has the KISS “SpaceMan” logo and a reproduction of Tommy Thayer’s signature in silver silkscreen.
Pickups and Hardware
One pickup cover of the Seymour Duncan JB at the bridge position is blue as well. The humbucker on the neck has a standard nickel finish. As far as the aesthetics are concerned, this lives up to the expectations of a signature instrument for a member of KISS!
Hardware-wise you get a set of Grover Rotomatic 18:1 tuners, a Graph Tech nut and an Epiphone bridge and tailpiece. The guitar ships in a Custom Hard Case and comes with a signed Certificate of Authenticity as well.
