Kramer brings the ’80s back with its new Custom Graphics Collection
The '80s are back with a vengeance!
Kramer, now owned by Gibson, is launching its new Custom Graphics Collection with an array of ’80s style finishes. The retro-style designs were created by visual artists Bo Pittman, Chris Stemmer and Eric Caspers.
Kramer Custom Graphics Collection
The Kramer Custom Graphics Collection limited-edition guitars feature designs by artists Bo Pittman, Chris Stemmer and Eric Caspers that have been applied to the Baretta and The 84 models.
Kramer “The Illusionist” The 84
The “The Illusionist” 84 has an alder body, finished with a Bo Pittman design, and a maple neck and fretboard It comes with a single Seymour Duncan JB humbucker with a push-pull volume knob for parallel or serial switching, and a locking Floyd Rose vibrato with EVH D-Tuna.
RRP – USD 999
Kramer “Danger Zone” Baretta
The graphics on the “Danger Zone” Baretta were designed by Eric Caspers and are quite ‘in your face’. It has the same specifications as above and will definitely stand out from the crowd!
RRP – USD 999
Kramer “Feral Cat” Baretta
The “Feral Cat” Beretta may look like Satchell from Steel Panther has been at it with his eye shadow, but is actually a Chris Stemmer design that harkens back to the original Kramer Leopard. It has the same hardware and pickup selection as above, with a zebra-coil humbucker.
RRP – USD 999
Kramer “Hot Rod” Baretta
A classic design, the Kramer “Hot Rod” Baretta is all flames and looks right at home in this collection of ’80s inspired single-humbucker shredders. The same specifications as before and, possibly, the best design of the batch?
RRP – USD 999
Kramer “Viper” Baretta
This snake inspired design by Chris Stemmer is quite subtle for a shredder with ’80s aspirations. But if you are at one with your inner serpent, it could be perfect for you. Again, same specifications as the rest, and oh so snakey!
RRP – USD 999
Kramer “White Lotus” Baretta
Last, but not least, is the subtle Kramer “White Lotus” Baretta, which is relatively understated for this lineup. Eric Caspers took his inspiration from an ’80s movie called Underdogs to create this design, which features a lotus flower, and represents “purity, enlightenment, regeneration, and rebirth.”
RRP – USD 999

More accurately the title should read “Kramer fails miserably in trying to channel the ‘So Bad It’s Good’ school of graphic arts design with it’s new Custom Graphics Collection”.
I just wonder who’s buying these guitars these days… the 80s were just magical years, but they are far gone…
If there’s no “BAD MEDICINE” written on the back I ain’t buyin’!
