LANDR Composer is a new AI-assisted Arrangement Tool
An generative compositional tool for music production.
With LANDR Composer, the developer has borrowed technology from its acquired Orb Plugins portfolio, creating a convenient new solution.
Originally, the plug-in began as Orb Producer Pro, so this is technically a rebrand of sorts. However, LANDR is known for harnessing AI technologies and cleverly implementing them in an array of different audio processes for creators.
LANDR Composer
To help you get over any creative engine stalls, LANDR Composer is a helpful tool for creating melodies, basslines, and chord progressions. With an intuitive interface, Composer generates different song sections called scenes with a user-defined length, key, and a DAW-synced tempo value.
Within each scene, Composer will generate note information for four different instruments, including chord, bass, melody, and arp, each with its own set of specific parameters to help you mold the results to fit the style of your song.
Any MIDI parts generated can be quickly dragged into the lanes of your software instruments within your DAW, or you can use the integrated synth engine while your ideas are still in their infancy.
Overall, the plug-in is a very useful tool for two main reasons. If you’re a complete beginner, it will help to show you the basics of pop music production. Alternatively, if you’re a composition expert and music theory wiz, this is a great tool to sketch ideas down quickly while building the skeleton of your next song.
