Leak! Arturia RackBrute a Eurorack expander case for MiniBrute 2
Arturia is about to announce their third new product in three days. At the time of writing, we’re still 5 hours from the final product reveal. However, overnight Reddit user “hoddap” posted images of what must surely be product number 3. RackBrute is a Eurorack case solution and now we know what that “Link Compatible” port on the side of the MiniBrute 2 and 2S is all about.

Arturia has gone all in on this modular business and come up with something awesome. The RackBrute appears to be available in 3U and 6U versions and is designed to attach to the Link ports on MiniBrute 2 and 2S. And it probably also connects to itself for building a larger rack. They have a bracket which links the synth to the case which innovatively lifts the case into a very handy position. It looks rock solid and completely fabulous.
This cached webpage from PMT seems to suggest that the Arturia 6U case will cost 2 grand. That seems mad, but maybe it comes with a load of modules. PMT does call it the “Arturia RackBrute 6U Synthesizer“, so it’s probably not just the case.
My only concern is that there appears to be a power supply module in one of the images which is a major waste of a handful of HP. If you are going to design your own case then you really should integrate the power to leave as much space as possible for awesome modules.
My last question would be are they going to release individual modules? That would be fantastic. Looking forward to all the details in a few hours.
