LEAK: Did Guitar World magazine accidentally share the new Line 6 DL4 Mk II?
The Line 6 DL4 Mk II delay/looper is coming and has been spotted in print
The Line 6 DL4 delay pedal is a stone cold classic, now 23 years old. And it seems tht Guitar World magazine has accidentally leaked a new Mk II version of the DL4 in the May 2022 edition of the magazine.
Line 6 DL4 Mk II
A new Line 6 DL4 Mk II has been spotted over on the TGP forum, as it is featured in the upcoming, as yet not officially released Guitar World May 2022 edition. The original DL4 is now 23 years old and is considered by many as a classic delay/looper pedal. It was partially designed by effects guru Jeorge Tripps of Way Huge pedals.
Updates and upgrades
Hardware upgrades for the new DL4 Mk II include MIDI In, Out/Thru, USB C, a Micro SD slot for expanding looping time, and an XLR mic input. The onboard looper time is now 240s mono or 120s stereo. The effect selector has three banks, including 15 original DL4 models, andwith 15 new MkII models, plus 15 “secret” models.
Unfortunately, the photograph shared by TGP user Barclay on the forum isn’t very clear, so this is all the information we have for now. But it certainly looks like we could see a new Line 6 DL4 Mk II land sometime this year. If you have never tried a Line 6 DL4, you can still buy them and now may be the time to pick one up, as potentially they could be discontinued.

OH. MY. GOD.
YES! Bring it!
Nobody remembers the echo park. It was the DL4 in a smaller footprint. That’s right, they made the MK2 YEARS AGO.
Hopefully the switches of the Mk. II are of a higher quality. Just replaced all four switches.
Unless the switches are upgraded I will never waste 250 dollars just to have switches give out again, for a pedal at this price point you shouldn’t run into that problem. Went with the TC Flashback 4 and am loving the great footswitches and great delays, the looper isn’t as great as the DL4 is
