LEAK: Looks like Gibson is reissuing the Adam Jones Les Paul Custom
The Adam Jones Silverburst is back!
According to YouTube channel The Trogly’s Guitar Show, Gibson is reissuing the Adam Jones Les Paul Custom for 2021. He has done a comparison video between the original reissue and this re-released version, and talked about whether this new release will affect the value of the previous run.
Gibson reissuing Adam Jones Les Paul Custom
The Gibson Adam Jones Les Paul Custom aged 2021 edition will apparently land on 2 November, with 79 available worldwide. These new versions have a regular serial number with V2 as part of it. They have been factory aged, but not as heavily as the original aged and signed versions. You also have things like the Seymour Duncan brand-name embossed on the bridge pickup, whereas the original signed heavy-aged versions did not.
Prices listed on Reverb from Gibson dealers are showing USD 9999 for each, which is the same price as the original sold-out Adam Jones VOS Silverburst run.
More Adam Jones Merchandise
Gibson has also just added some new Adam Jones merchandise to its main site. These include new t-shirt designs, along with some new posters for USD 75 each, or hand-signed posters for USD 150 each.
Official Announcement
I’d imagine that we will see an official announcement sometime next week from Gibson, though the guitars will have probably already sold-out by then, as Gibson dealers will have listed them over this weekend. If you can grab one, then it could be a slightly cheaper way of getting an official Adam Jones Silverburst, as scalpers have been falsely inflating prices on the original run all year.

Silverburst Epiphone?
Owners of the originals, that are trying to sell them for these ridiculous prices, may be annoyed by this announcement. However, I think we will see a lot more Adam Jones models in the coming years. We know he has done a deal with Gibson, and this is surely good news for his fans. Since so many missed out on the original run, the fact that there could be more opportunities to own one in the future is probably welcome. Plus, Adam has already teased the Epiphone version, so maybe there will be an announcement about that soon, as well.
