LOCI: Extendable expandable wooden modular desktop stand for your gear
There’s not a whole lot of excitement to be had in the world of stands. It’s one of those vital bits of equipment that doesn’t tend to get any of the glamour of the gear it’s holding. In comes LOCI with the worlds first extendable interlocking wooden modular desktop stand that’s so versatile, you won’t believe how you lived without it.
LOCI
Quik-Lok this is not. It’s an interestingly engineering combination of wooden brackets and struts that connect together in multiple ways to provide the perfect platform for your synth or groove machine, controller or modular. The stands are inter-connectable so you can add more to expand your system while keeping them securely locked together.
You can configure them in 3 different angles, 30, 60 and 72 degrees to get the perfect pitch. You can hold one or two bits of gear, or add more struts and brackets to hold larger or more numerous items. And if you’re taking them to gigs you’ll find they break down to a much smaller space than any other stand you’ve ever had.
It all looks rather neat and undeniably useful and surprisingly cheap at £39.95 for the standard stand (synth size) or £31.95 for the smaller one (groove box sized). An expansion can be added for £27.50.
They aim to manufacture twice a month and are taking preorders for the next run. Nice!
