LunaStone’s The Pusher: One booster too many?
LunaStone’s The Pusher is a ‘mini’ format +15db boost pedal for your guitar designed to give you some extra shove when you need it. Its moderate price puts it in competition with a lot of other products out there, however.
The Push
LunaStone say that the Pusher has the ability to give your clean guitar tone a bit more focus, a slight compression and generally make your guitar sound just that bit nicer. It’s not going to give you huge amounts of gain and seems better suited to players that have a good core tone, yet need to add a bit extra now and again. If you need to push your tube amplifier a tad harder then The Pusher will give you an extra 15db of signal boost and allow you to get into that nice overdriven sound we all love. The unit is true-bypass and as so small you will need to run it from an external 9v power supply as there is no room for an internal battery.
The video demo below gives a good explanation of what the pedal can achieve, so I would suggest you take a look. The actual audio isn’t the best, which is a pity, so check out the demos on the company’s webpage, which are recorded in better quality. I’ve included the link below.
Although this new pedal is priced fairly well, it will face some strong competition as the market for under £100 is already fairly crowded.
RRP EUR €99
