Maestro releases second wave of effects pedals
Gibson owned Maestro Electronics has five new stompboxes
Maestro Electronics has released its second wave of effects pedals adding to the lineup re-launched by Gibson earlier in 2022. The latest effects include the new Arcas Compressor Sustainer, Titan Boost, Orbit Phaser, Agena Envelope Filter and the Mariner Tremolo.
Maestro Second Wave
Maestro Electronics was brought back to life by Gibson in early 2022. They released then the Fuzz-Tone FZ-M, Invader Distortion, Ranger Overdrive, Comet Chorus and the Discoverer Delay. Now the second wave of effects has been announced, which brings the total number up to 10 individual pedal circuits.
These new stompboxes include a compressor, a boost and three new modulation effects.

Arcas Compressor Sustainer
This new Maestro Arcas Compressor Sustainer features controls for Attack, Sustain and Level plus a mini toggle switch labelled Lo/Hi. This switch controls the decrease and increase of the attack sensitivity.
MSRP – USD 149 / EUR 179 *
Titan Boost
Next up is the Titan Boost, this pedal is controlled by Tone, HPF and Tone knobs, along with a Hi Pass/Flat mini toggle switch. The Tone control is a variable low-pass filter, and the HPF is a variable high-pass filter.
No more muddy low-end with this boost and it has 25dB of clean boost available.
MSRP – USD 159 / EUR 189 *
Orbit Phaser
The Orbit Phaser covers both 4-stage and 6-stage phasing, via the mini toggle switch. This phaser circuit also has controls for Width, Rate and Feedback. Hopefully, it will have some of the charm and character of the original 1970s Maestro PS-1 phaser effect.
MSRP – USD 149 / EUR 179 *
Agena Envelope Filter
The Agena Envelope Filter has two filter frequencies that you access from the Hi/Lo switch. The pedal controls consist of Sense, Attack and Decay. Sense sets the envelope sensitivity, and then you set how quickly it reacts via Attack. Then finally, Decay sets how quickly the effect releases.
Perfect for faux wah sounds perhaps?
MSRP – USD 159 / EUR 189 *
Mariner Tremolo
Finally, the Mariner Tremolo offers us some vintage amp-like tremolo wobble. This one has controls for Depth, Speed and Shape plus a toggle switch labelled Harmonic/Classic.
The Shape control goes through a triangle wave to a square wave. Whilst the Harmonic offers old vintage amp-like tremolo, and Classic goes from subtle/smooth through to much sharper tremolo.
MSRP – USD 159 / EUR 189 *
