Wave Alchemy has released Magic7, a free emulation of the legendary Bricasti M7 reverb, now available as a freeware plugin for MacOS and Windows. The software faithfully (!) reproduces the sound of the M7, which is known for its realistic and spatially deep reverb. Magic7 includes all 234 original M7 presets – wow! – including ambiences, halls, plates and rooms, in (according to the developers) exact true stereo quality. Modern features such as ducking, transient smoothing and two modulation styles (Flux and Ensemble) allow for flexible reverb design. Is it Christmas already? Magic7: Free Reverb Plug-in Recreates the Sound of the Bricasti M7
The freeware Magic7 offers eleven reverb types, including Chambers, Nonlinear Spaces and more, and provides impressive sound control through a newly developed DSP system. And that’s just to get the iconic Bricasti M7 hardware into our DAW. The effect is simple to use. The Smooth parameter softens transients, avoiding metallic artefacts and creating more voluminous reverb tails. Does this use IRs or algorithms?
Fixed decay so assuming IR? Also read somewhere WA only use IRs.
At any rate this sounds amazing. I have missed epic web since I left windows and no other M7 really felt the same to me but this has that really pretty, dark space that I haven’t found elsewhere. Love verbsuite classics and seventh heaven but this has something extra to my ear.
I would love to test this plugin.
