MatrixBrute Noir Edition officially released
It’s no longer a leak or a rumour; MatrixBrute Noir Edition is real and looking darkly fabulous in its sleek black coat.
Black is the new black
We stumbled upon some photos of the MatrixBrute Noir Edition back in May as some eager web-stores put the special edition synth online. But now we have the official details and I must say it looks pretty darn awesome in this promo video:

There are no changes to the architecture or features of the synthesizer. It’s still a powerhouse of an analog synth with 3 oscillators and paraphonic articulation, a pair of filters, 2 LFOs, 2 envelopes and that imposing 16×16 modulation matrix that also runs the 64 step sequencer. Arturia says it comes with a new bunch of 64 dark and interesting presets and a new firmware update disentangles the arpeggiator and sequencer from needing a MIDI start message.
I think it looks great! It definitely gives it a different vibe and brings the MatrixBrute back to the table of exciting possibilities. Funny how a coat of paint can have that effect on you.
With the leak we understood that there was going to be limited run of 500 units but Arturia haven’t confirmed this. The price should be $1,999.
