The Mayer EMI Vibes MD850 is now available for order!
A shortcut to Virtual Analogue Heaven.
The Mayer EMI Vibes is a powerful new virtual analogue synth that also provides wavetable synthesis capabilities with the same X-VA engine as the flagship MD900 in a package slightly downscaled in both size and price.
The Vibes MD850 is built on the new AIS (All Integrated Synthesis) platform, with 24-voice polyphony and full stereo operation. Furthermore, there is a flexible digital mixer, clip launcher, and an extensive drum synthesis engine.

With the filter section, the multimode filter allows you to emulate classic filter types and there is an extensive modulation routing matrix for adding animation to each part.
Moreover, each of the four parts is equipped with its own effect section, giving you reverb, delay, chorus, flanger, compressor, EQ, and more.
To make things more interesting, there is a sample-based drum section, arpeggiator, step-sequencer, and even a clip launch feature similar to that of Ableton Live.
While one could argue that you’re not getting the same control-per-parameter functionality as the MD900, there’s no denying the quality of the synthesis engine and the versatility of the Vibes as an instrument.
