More Information

The huge Melda Production MFreeFXBundle with over 30 free plugins was already a must-have before this new addition, but it just got even better. The newly added MDelay is a very versatile free delay plugin with a feature set that rivals many commercial competitors. Could this be the only free delay you’ll ever need?

MDelay offers two independent tap units, each with its own Gain, Pan, Time, Feedback, and Shuffle controls. Each tap also has a dedicated set of sync controls with lots of options. You can run the two taps in parallel or in a series, which allows you to craft complex and evolving delay patterns.

For each tap unit, you can choose between an emulation of a classic tape delay and a modern algorithm. Moreover, you also have a choice of three delay modes per tap (Default, Classic, Ping Pong). With additional features such as saturation and resonant filters for the input and feedback signals, MDelay has a whole lot of tricks up its sleeve and might just become your new favorite delay plugin.

MDelay is available as part of the Melda Production MFreeFXBundle, which also includes 37 other free plugins. It runs on Windows and macOS in VST, VST3, AU, and AAX formats.

More Information

Dirty ePiano by Sample Science is a multi-sampled electric piano recorded “hot” on tape. Somehow, the sound manages to be mellow, dreamy, and “in your face” at the same time, which makes it a great choice for 70s-style theme songs, lo-fi hip hop, and boom-bap beats.

Dirty ePiano runs in Sample Science’s standard sample player plugin, which means that you get a bunch of sound shaping tools like an ADSR envelope, preamp emulation, LFO, and filter. It also has a selection of built-in effects such as distortion, delay, chorus, and reverb.

Dirty ePiano is available for macOS and Windows in VST, VST3, and AU formats.

More Information

Bass TR by Audio Assault is a free bass amp simulation that runs inside the developer’s Bass Locker plugin, which is derived from the popular Amp Locker for guitar. It’s a pretty straightforward bass amp with drive and level controls for the preamp section, a 4-band EQ, and a master volume knob.

Inside Bass Locker, you can combine the amp with a variety of cabsmicrophones, and stompbox effects to set up your bass effects chain. Other bass amp simulations are available for purchase from within the plugin.

Bass TR and Bass Locker are available for macOS, Windows, and Linux in VST, VST3, AU, and AAX formats.
