Mooer GTRS M810: Intelligent guitars of the future
The Future of Guitar Playing?
Mooer’s M810 electric guitar is a significant upgrade from its predecessor, the M800. This cutting-edge instrument combines advanced technology with superior craftsmanship to redefine the playing experience. Let’s delve into the features that set the M810 apart.
M810 vs M800: A Quantum Leap
The M810 is powered by Mooer’s impressive G100 Intelligent Processing System, offering 128 built-in effects accessible through the user-friendly GTRS Mobile app. This eliminates the need for external pedals, streamlining your setup. Beyond effects, the app provides drum tracks, metronomes, and a looper for enhanced performance.
Super Knob
Using the GTRS Mobile app, you can easily load these tonal settings onto the guitar via Bluetooth and switch between them in real time using the LED-coloured Super Knob.
Construction
The guitar offers exceptional stability and sustain, featuring a 5-piece roasted flame maple, rosewood neck, bone nut, and dual-action steel truss rod. The poplar burl top (paired with an alder body) layer enhances aesthetics and contributes to a lighter body and balanced resonance.
The M810’s sound is enhanced by GTRS HMT-1N neck and HMT-1B bridge pickups, which deliver a rich and dynamic tonal palette. The black GTRS PW 2-point trem system also improves tuning stability and tremolo practicality.
Design and Aesthetics
This model boasts a stunning array of burst finishes (Natural, Green, Purple, and Blue) and abalone shell inlays on the fretboard. These design elements elevate the guitar’s visual appeal, setting it apart from the minimalist M800.
Verdict
Mooer’s M810 represents a bold step forward in guitar technology. Its innovative features, exceptional build quality, and striking design make it a compelling option for musicians seeking a modern, versatile instrument. While the concept may be unconventional, the M810 undoubtedly offers a glimpse into the future of guitar playing.
With every new release, Mooer is evolving and attempting to make its Intelligent Guitar range more viable and appealing.
