The Mooer Hornet 05i has over 50 amp simulations and almost as many effects. In addition, there is an onboard looper. This compact 5-watt amp includes a tuner, plus 40 drum machine loops for backing. It wall also interface with your computer and an accompanying smartphone app.

This new Mooer Hornet 05i includes a whopping 52 amp simulations, 49 effect simulations, a looper with 80 seconds playback time, 40 drum machine loops, 10 metronome patterns and a tuner. This puts this little purple/blue coloured compact digital amp in a very nice position for features., as it is packed full of them.
A built-in rechargeable battery offers up to 5 hours of battery life.

Mini, Portable and Fun
Compared to the recent larger 30-watt SD30i it is slightly more portable and maybe better suited to guitarists on the move. This mini combo measures a mere 10.4 cm in width, 13 cm in height and 7.55 cm in depth and has a weight of 560 g, which means you can fit it in your rucksack with ease.
The 5-watt Class D amplifier uses a transistor solid-state design paired with a specially adapted 2-inch speaker.
iAMP App
Due to its size, it has a single large control for switching on and adjusting the volume. The selection of amps and effects is made via the iAMP app from Mooer. This app also allows for firmware updates, and the ability to upload/download new amp tones from MOOER Cloud.

Connectivity
It has standard 1/4“ jack input. Another audio signal can be fed in via Bluetooth 5.0 or a Bluetooth speaker can be connected.
If you connect it to your computer via the USB-C port, the amp acts as an audio interface and you can record the guitar directly from it into your DAW.
Wireless Control
There is also support for wireless footswitch control so that users can switch between sounds without having to bend down to adjust settings manually.
The new Hornet 05i is currently available to order from Thomann and should be shipping within 7-9 weeks. It could be a great little amp for many situations, including home, office and for use whilst travelling.
