Mooer launches GTRS Wings W800 and W900 headless models
Two new headless designs with fanned frets and the GTRS Intelligent Guitar system
Mooer has launched their new headless design GTRS Wings W800 and W900 models. Both feature their proprietary GTRS Intelligent system. Offering access to 11 guitar sims,126 effects, a drum machine and an 80-second looper.
GTRS Wings
The new Mooer GTRS Wings range follows on from their recent Professional 800 models that feature the same GTRS Intelligent system technology. Just his time the W800 and W900 models are both headless guitar designs.
Headless
Based around a modern contoured alder body with a C shape roasted flame maple neck. They come with 24 fanned frets fitted to a 12” radius Indian rosewood fretboard. They have 42mm bone nut, zero fret, dot inlays and a satin natural finish on the rear of the neck. These headless models look pretty elegant in that they look quite sleek and ready for modern playing styles.
Hardware
Hardware includes the GTRS HL-I bridge and a brushed aluminium pickguard. The GTRS HM-2N (neck) and HM-2B (bridge) humbuckers are controlled via a three-way selector switch and master knobs for both volume and tone.
The W800 is available in Pearl White, Pearl Pink and Pearl Black. While the W900 is available in Aurora Pink, Aurora Purple and Aurora Green.
Super Knob
As with the previous GTRS models, the Super Knob controls the “Intelligent” aspects of these guitars. This includes the aforementioned 11 guitar sims,126 effects, 40 drum patterns, 10 metronome variations and the 80-second looper. Users can use the Mooer app to dial these in to taste and assign parameters to the Super Knob.
W800 vs W900
The W900 is loaded with the G150 version that comes with a longer battery life of 12 hours. Whereas the W800’ has the G100 system with 10 hours of battery life. Finally, the W900 has a built-in UHF wireless transmitter that is compatible with the Mooer GWU4 receiver.
