Mooer Micro Looper II and Micro Drummer II: TC Ditto has competition
These new Mooer Micro Looper II and Micro Drummer II pedals are perfect companions for pedalboards. Offering loads of useful backing and practice options for guitarists. Making them perfect for getting creative and making new music.
Micro Looper II
This Mooer Micro Looper II has three separate banks for saving with 16 slots per bank. Therefore, it has plenty of places to store your loops and they are organised in an easy-to-access manner, vis the main dial on the front of the pedal.
Loop Time
It also offers a whopping 480 minutes of recording time in total, which is insane considering how affordable it is. Each individual slot has up to 10 minutes of looping time, which should be more than enough for most musicians.
The pedal offers unlimited layering, plus the standard Undo and Redo functions that one would expect from a looper.
Apart from that, it has the basic Level and Threshold controls to keep everything sounding good in the mix.
MSRP – EUR 94 *
Micro Drummer II
Next up is the Micro Drummer II and like its sibling above it is a small format pedal packed with useful features for musicians. This mini pedal offers 48 grooves across 8 different rhythm types and has 6 music genres on board. These include Pop, Funk, Metal, Rock, Blues and Jazz.
Being a mini drummer it has both Fill and Tap Tempo functions, to add variation and keep it in time.
Apart from that there are two basic EQ presets available to help it sit in the mix.
MSRP – EUR 94 *
Verdict
I can see both pedals being useful for musicians. Especially the Micro Looper II as it is very affordable and offers a lot of features when compared to the TC Electronic Ditto * which is in a similar price bracket.
As ever Mooer are making good products at affordable price points, which is never a bad thing for consumers.
