For others, these are an absolute must. With its wealth of features, the Mooer Prime M2 is sure to be a talking point. And with a staggering 194 effects, there is something here for most guitar and bass needs.

These include emulations of various legendary overdrives, preamps, delays, reverbs, and modulation effects. Additionally, a whole range of cabs and amps can also be added to the virtual effects chain. You can save your effects chains in 80 preset slots and load ready-made racks from the Mooer Cloud App.

Looper, Drum Machine, and Metronom

But that’s not all. The Mooer Prime M2 features an 80-minute looper (!) with multiple modes: record, overdub, pause, delete, and play. Its count-in can also be taken directly from the integrated drum machine (56 grooves). Hours of jamming are guaranteed!

The looper and drum machine are also automatically synchronized. If you would rather not use the drum machine, you can practice with the integrated metronome. The pedal offers four different click sounds. A tuner is also included for an all-in-one pedal, which can be adjusted to different tunings using the in-house app. In addition to the touchscreen, the two footswitches allow you to switch between presets. You can also connect an additional controller via the mini-jack MIDI connection.

Mooer Prime M2 for Practicing on the Go

The Mooer Prime M2 also includes a 3000 mAh lithium battery. So, you can play for up to six hours without an additional power supply. There’s even a mini-jack headphone jack on the pedal. Guitar, effects, headphones – all you need for a jam in your backyard! And if the battery is empty, it takes three hours to fully recharge it.

In addition, you get Bluetooth 5.0. This lets you wirelessly loop music from your phone or other sources into the pedal and jam along. The pedal also supports USB-OTG. This allows you to connect the Prime M2 directly to your tablet or smartphone via a USB adapter cable and record there. For latency reasons, this will not be possible via Bluetooth.

The pedal offers a mono input (jack) and a stereo output via TRS.

How Much Does the Prime M2 Cost?

That’s quite an statement from Mooer. Of course, this isn’t going to be the ultimate Tubescreamer emulation or the finest spring reverb. But anyone looking for an extremely versatile and mobile practice and jam tool for guitar or who wants to try their hand at busking should take a closer look at the Mooer Prime M2.

The pedal is currently listed for 219 USD at various retailers.
