Moog’s 70th Anniversary: Win a Model D and explore the Mini Moog Factory
For Moog’s anniversary and Bob’s birthday Moog Music has partnered with the Bob Moog Foundation to give away a 2022 Minimoog Model D and invite you on a Mini Moog factory virtual experience.
Win a Model D
This is the first time Moog Music has joined the Bob Moog Foundation raffle, and it’s a very welcome sight. The Bob Moog Foundation was founded in 2005. Its task was to preserve the Moog archives and provide hands-on access for children and adults to explore the science of synthesis. It’s always been independent of the Moog Music synthesizer manufacturers. So, it’s great to see them getting together to celebrate such a notable anniversary.
The Minimoog up for grabs is the first of the reissues off the 2022 production line. It is a Model D serial #1. Handmade in Asheville, NC, the Minimoog is iconically beautiful in both sound and form. Everything about it is legendary. From the analogue oscillators to the fat ladder filter to the sheer number of records it’s appeared on. It looks incredible in the locally sourced Appalachian cherry wood cabinet and hand-finished aluminium. And, of course, every component follows the through-hole design of the original 1970s Minimoog.
To enter and be in with a chance of winning this gorgeous instrument, all you have to do is make a donation. The foundation.
Mini Moog Factory
Moog Music and Pentagram have collaborated on a new online digital experience. The Mini Moog Factory gives visitors an interactive dive into the history of electronic music through the lens of the Minimoog Model D. It’s fleshed out in the style of 90s video games and has a fabulously distinctive retro feel.
Inside you’ll discover musicians, songs, stories and sounds that have been the backbone of much of our best-loved music. You’ll also be able to play on a brilliantly realised virtual Minimoog and explore over 45 classic presets, and even export recordings. You’ll find a ton of music in here too, with historical archives, musical performances and a “print and build” Minimoog to stick in your own studio.
You can undoubtedly have a lot of fun in the Mini Moog Factory.
So, head to the Bob Moog Foundation website and see if you can win yourself a Minimoog. It’s got to be worth a shot, and your money will go to making the world of synthesizers a better place.

Yes, donating money to a good cause doesn’t usually result in personal gain. However, in this case you might win a Minimoog which could make your act of kindness even sweeter. Or just buy yourself a synth, we all have choices.
