Music Man Ball Family Reserve for August: A valentine steak bursting with cherry
The latest series of Ernie Ball Music Man Ball Family Reserve models has been announced. And this one contains some stunning limited editions of popular models from the company’s line-up.
The three models featured here are the Valentine Target Burst, Majesty Blue Steakhouse and the Bongo 5HH Wild Cherry Burst! Some very tasty-looking instruments indeed.
Valentine Target Burst
The Valentine Target Burst is limited to only 45 pieces worldwide. What makes it really stand out is that double-bound ash body which is finished on both sides with a vintage-style Target Burst paint job and the ebony fretboard with those block inlays. Then you get that roasted figured maple neck with the herringbone inlay!
RRP – TBC
Majesty Blue Steakhouse
Next up we have the Majesty Blue Steakhouse and this time it is limited to 87 pieces worldwide. The spalted maple shield comes surrounded with the exclusive Blue Steakhouse finish. This one looks a bit strange to my eye, but some players may love it. This model comes loaded with DiMarzio Dream Catcher and Rain Maker humbuckers with cream covers.
This model has the ebony fretboard and cream binding which all goes to complete the look fo this limited run guitar.
RRP – TBC
Bongo 5HH Wild Cherry Burst
Last, we have the Bongo 5HH Wild Cherry Burst. This 5-string bass model features a dual humbucker configuration on an ash body that is finished in Wild Cherry Burst. This model has a satin-finished, roasted figured maple neck and fretboard, with black dots. This model is very understated compared to the other two in my opinion. It is limited to 57 models worldwide, so is pretty rare though.
RRP – TBC
Limited Release
All three guitars are, of course, limited editions, so you will need to be quick if you want one. You can check the full specifications for each model via the link below. If I had to choose I would probably opt for the Valentine Target Burst model myself, as it looks really good in those colours, especially with those block inlays.
