New signature models from the guitar legend! The four new Luke IV models in the Music Man Steve Lukather Collection 2025 offer the best of the best. They are available in a variety of pickup configurations.
Steve Lukather Collection 2025: HSS and Ball Family Reserve
Let’s start with the finest model of the Lukather Collection 2025, the Luke IV HSS BFR, in a beautiful Green Tide finish (body and headstock!). This Strat-style model is limited to 150 pieces worldwide and is part of the special edition “Ball Family Reserve”. Let’s take a closer look.
Okoume body, maple top, bolt-on maple neck (soft “V” profile with 21mm thickness at the first fret and 24 mm at the 12th fret), and ebony fretboard – excellent ingredients for woods! This model comes with a 25.5” scale and 22 frets, with dot inlays. The chrome hardware on this “Made in the USA” guitar includes Schaller M6 tuners and a locking tremolo.
The pickups are a Music Man HT humbucker in the bridge and Music Man HT single coils in the middle and neck, which can be switched and combined with the three-way switch. Both volume controls offer push/pull functionality. The Luke IV HSS BFR costs 4,699 Euros at Thomann*. A Music Man Mono Cases gig bag is included, and each model is hand-signed by Steve Lukather on the back.
Four HH models
The Steve Lukather Collection 2025 also has something for double humbucker fans. Three models are available with an alder body, a bolt-on maple neck (also with a soft “V” profile, see above), and either a rosewood fretboard or a maple fretboard with a 25.5 cm scale and 22 frets. These HH models includes two Music Man HT humbuckers with a five-way switch and global controls for volume (with push/pull) and tone. On the hardware side, these guitars come with Schaller M6-IND locking tuners and a Music Man floating vintage tremolo.
There is also an HH model similar to the BRF guitar from above. However, this one has two Music Man humbuckers and an active Custom Music Man preamp. It comes in Blue Dream and costs €3,979 at Thomann*. The price of the three other HH models in the Fireball*, Butane Blue*, and Black Sparkle* finishes is €3,999 at Thomann.
Lukather Collection 2025: SSS and HSS models
The Lukather Collection 2025 from Music Man also has something for fans of the classic Strat pickup configuration with three single coils. At Thomann*, the model is available in Redburst for €3,549. The guitar comes with a roasted alder body, rosewood fingerboard, 22 frets, three Music Man HT single coils, and an active Custom Music Man preamp.
And those who prefer to play HSS-style strats, can choose between three colors in this collection: Fireball*, Black Sparkle*, or Butane Blue*. Each of the models costs 3,999 euros at Thomann, including a soft light case.
