NAMM 2016: TC Electronics premier the Ditto X4 Looper
TC Electronics have expanded upon their popular Ditto series of looper pedals with the new Ditto x4 Looper. New for 2016, their latest addition has some new features and can be used on guitars, bass and lots of other instruments as well.
The Ditto X4 pedal can be connected to a computer using the USB port on the back, for backing up and loading sounds. It also offers MIDI sync which you can access via the midi in/thru jacks on the back of the pedal. There are also a set of DIP switches that can be used to control various aspects of how the pedal responds as well as toggle the internal buffer on and off.
The 7 effects can be activated easily and applied to your loops as well, so you have lots of options to sculpt and effect your loops in real time.
The Ditto X4 Looper has been designed for guitar players to use easily in a live or studio scenario. TC have also tried to make the user interface as simple as possible. The whole Ditto series has become very popular in the last few years. With its expanded options, this should be a lot of fun to use. Just a pity they didn’t put an XLR input on it for a microphone…
