IK Multimedia have got together with Hammond USA and Suzuki Music Corp to bring the truly authentic sound of the legendary Leslie amps and cabinets. It’s a horn in a box that spins.

IK tell us that they’ve broken through into new levels of realism with their Dynamic Interaction Modeling and Volumetric Response Modeling technologies. This is the best bit here:

Amazing!
Both the Amplitude and the T-Racks version feature 5 Leslie amplifiers and 6 rotary-speaker cabinets which you can combine in any way you wish. Mic placement can be at 90 or 180 degrees with variable distance. They’ve gone to a lot of trouble to replicate the saturation and harmonic distortion of overdrive tubes and circuitry. There’s a full parametric EQ for overall sound shaping and a mixer for microphone blending and tonal control.
As ever with IK plug-ins the interface looks stunning and all the controls and versatility is laid out front and centre. I don’t imagine you’ll ever find a more authentic Leslie.
