NAMM 2019: Charvel Satchel Signature now in Slime Green Bengal
The Eye of the Tiger
Charvel has released an updated Satchel Signature Pro Mod-DK for 2019 and it is now in an, oh so subtle Slime Green Bengal finish!
Satchel Signature Pro Mod-DK
For 2019 Charvel has introduced the new Slime Green Bengal finish exclusively for their Satchel Signature Pro Mod-DK. Being the owner of a Slime Green SoCal myself, I can only agree with this awesome choice of colour!
Fishman Fluence
The guitar is loaded with an exclusive pair of Fishman Fluence humbucking pickups. They are specific to this particular signature model and unlike last years’ Satchel model they are uncovered with a green and black pair of bobbins on each one. So the carpets match the drapes!
A Pussy Melting Cat?
After last years debate over his Pussy Melter pedals, it is good to see the Steel Panther guitarist release such an understated product for 2019. Each guitar has a decked Floyd Rose, so it sits flat on the guitar’s top, with no pull up (just like EVH’s).
Those Fishman Fluence Classic pickups a PRF-CHB-NB1 in the neck and a PRF-CHB-BB1 in the bridge, have two voices, activated by a push/pull pot on the single Volume control, with the pull up giving you an extra boost. So they can go from a regular PAF like tone to a hot-rodded one!
It has the obligatory, three-way (sure, there is a pun in there somewhere) switch and is to just give you pure pickup tone, with no Tone control getting in the way.
With a two-piece 25.5″ compound radius maple ‘Speed Neck’ with rolled fingerboard edges and it is fitted 22 Jumbo frets, this guitar has the ability to melt faces (and cats?), as it aids playing fast legato licks and dishing out the riffs.
I much prefer this colour scheme to last year’s model, but as I said earlier I’m a Slime Green man myself.
RRP – USD 1944.43 released in March

Not sure why they say no pull up on the Floyd….
My yellow version should be the same as this one… it pulls up fine….
Watch the video….
I’ll bet it’s the exact same Floyd set up as the yellow satchel……mine floats
FR 2000 Very sweet playing guitar….
They talk about the yellow being decked as well… so, not sure why they say that…
My advise is go play one … mine is definitely not decked and I’ve made no adjustments in order to make it float…. just FYI for anyone out there….
How’s this better than the Kramer version he used to do? Sure is way more expensive…
