Fender Custom Shop's Ron Thorn shares some NAMM models
Its Winter NAMM and Fender Custom Shop get to show off all manner of amazing one-off and low run instruments. These guitars are built by some of the most talented and exciting guitar makers in the business. So when the Custom Shop’s Ron Thorn decides to share a few on his Instagram page we had to share.

I’m quite partial to the California Special in Two-Tone burst, with a Vibra-Dyne and J-Bridge, loaded with Fat 50’s pickups. It also has a rather tasty Brazilian board and a Bakelite pickguard.
But, I can also appreciate the understated Plain Jane Tele with its curly ash top, ash body, curly maple neck. Thorn Brass Knuckle, binding, custom control plate and pickguard, plus a tummy cut.
And then there is the pair of Thinline Teles one featuring his new Vibra-Dyne vibrato and using a J-Bridge, the other one though has a chopped bridge with a Thorn Brass Knuckle.
Pickups are Lollar Goldfoils with custom Pearloid bezels to match the double binding. One is finished in Trans Surf and the other is Trans Daphne.
The Tarot Tele video shows some of the 80 plus hours of hard work put into one guitar and I adore the Woodblock Print Tele as well. The latter a limited run of 25 all hand signed by the artist Alex Carmona.
