Nexi Industries new Nexi Powered Pedalboard is aimed at those of us that need to travel light and could, therefore, could be perfect for the travelling musician.

The whole Nexi ecosystem revolves around their Click ‘n Play analogue, true-bypass, effect pedal range, which currently has 18 models in its lineup. This includes the recently announced Skunkdrive and Octavius signature pedals for Skunk Anansie’s guitarist Ace.
With an onboard tuner, plus a built-in DI, universal power supply and three-step booster. This unit should be able to survive the rigours of travel and can handle most things a musician can throw at it.

But you ask, what if I want to use my old faithful Boss SD-1 or my ‘ultra limited edition boutique fuzz box built by that lost Inuit tribe and hand wired by virgins under s full moon?’ Well, Nexi has thought of that too and so you can buy the conNEXI adaptor. This will allow you to integrate your favourite old dirt box in amongst all those shiny new Nexi pedals.

Okay, I think this is neat and if you are already using nothing but Nexi Industries pedals then it would make sense to get one. But I think for me this would be a little too niche and I would probably just build my own pedalboard form parts I choose.
It will be available to check out during NAMM 2019 and so I expect to hear some feedback from players about the Nexi Powered Pedalboard after the show has finished. The conNEXI adapters are listed at EUR 24.95 each and so I would have to take that into consideration if I were to consider buying one of these.
