NAMM 2019: Vox limited-edition AC15s with Warehouse speakers
Limited Edition British combos with American-flavoured speakers
Vox has just announced two new limited-edition combo amps, the AC15HW1-G12C and AC15C1-G12C. The special component here is the American-made speakers that should give this archetypal British amp a transatlantic twang…
Vox limited-edition AC15s
The AC15 is a very British-sounding combo, traditionally, but now you’ll be able to get them factory fitted with Warehouse’s American Vintage G12C speakers for a limited time.
Kentucky powered
The AC15HW1-G12C model is a hand-wired 15-Watt combo using a 12AX7 preamp section and an EL84 power amp output. It now comes loaded with a G12C speaker handmade in Kentucky, USA. It also comes finished in a limited vintage-style Tolex.
The cheaper AC15C1G12C version is not hand-wired and so costs a lot less, but retains the G12C speaker upgrade and limited edition vintage-style finish. So there is something for those on a tighter budget.
This could well be an interesting pair of combos to check out when they become available at your local Vox dealer.
RRP – AC15HW1-G12C at GBP 1299 and AC15C1-G12C at GBP 695

Hello,
About the VOX AC15HW1-G12AC, i would like to know if the transformers are the same as the AC15HW1X.
Design and HP have been changed. But the new AC15HW1-G12AC is heavier than the AC15HW1X (2 kilo more)
Nevertheless, the Alnico blue and the warehouse G12C have the same weight .
Thanks
Kind regards
