NAMM 2020: Catalinbread Giygas fuzz/EQ and Epoch Boost
Catalinbread has just announced two new pedals at Winter NAMM. Will the Giygas fuzz/EQ and Epoch Boost find their way onto your pedalboard?
Catalinbread Giygas fuzz/EQ
First up is the new Catalinbread Giygas which combines fuzz and EQ into a single, compact pedal. It comes with EQ, loud, mids, blend and fuzz controls, but there aren’t any more details just yet. We will have to wait and see for this one.
RRP – TBC
Catalinbread Epoch Boost
The new Catalinbread Epoch Boost is based on an Echoplex EP-3 preamp, with the intention of recreating that much sought after vintage tone. It achieves this by running at the original 22-volts, all from a regular power supply. It is a pretty well known tone, so you can imagine how it will sound.
The pedal also has a switchable JFET buffer circuit to counter working with long cables and lots-and-lots of true-bypass pedals, which normally have a tendency to degrade the guitar signal.
RRP – TBC
