NAMM 2020: Guild primes its stunning X-175 Manhattan Special for launch
Featuring a pair of DeArmond Dynasonic pickups
Loaded with a pair of DeArmond Dynasonic pickups, Guild’s new X-175 Manhattan Special is due to launch at Winter NAMM – and it looks like a bit of a stunner!

To show how proud it is of its new model, Guild has already uploaded an official YouTube demo. The only problem is that you can’t watch it until 14 January just before the kick-off for Winter NAMM!
The hollow-body, arch-topped guitar is loaded with a pair of DeArmond Dynasonic pickups. The top model is called the X-175 Manhattan Special and sports a solid three-piece neck. It has a fully bound body, neck and headstock. The F-holes are nicely on-brand, as well. The mother of pearl block fretboard inlays add a touch of bling without going over the top.

Guild X-175 Manhattan Special
It comes factory fitted with a Bigsby-style Guild Vibrato Tailpiece and comes in a ‘special edition’ satin Malibu Blue finish that I think looks fantastic. The overall effect is very stylish and has gobs of vintage inspired touches. And the colour really pops, too!
