NAMM 2020: RedBeard Effects launches a sweet new Honey Badger Octave Fuzz
Crazy sweet octave fuzz tones
Last year, Skindred’s Mikey Demus launched his own effect pedal company, RedBeard Effects. Now Redbeard has just announced the Honey Badger Octave Fuzz model, slated for release in March 2020. Here’s a quick overview of what this cool-looking pedal will do for your tone.
Sweet Fuzz
First off, let’s have a glance at the exterior of the Honey Badger Octave Fuzz. And it looks great! It follows on from last year’s Red Mist MKIV overdrive/distortion pedal, and uses similar visual cues. This thing makes a good impression before you’ve even heard what it can do. I like the bold fonts used and the markings around the knobs. They make it easier for someone like me to remember the setting on a pedal.
Honey Badger Octave Fuzz
- Footswitchable Octave mode
- ‘DIVIDE’ knob allows blending between -2 and -1 Octaves
- 2-Band EQ with Bass & Treble
- 100% Analogue signal path
- True Bypass
- Highest quality components and construction
- Custom Powder coated & Anodised Enclosure
One neat feature is that you can kick it into Octave Mode with its own dedicated footswitch. I love octave fuzz effects and the demo for this one sounds really good.
