NAMM 2020: Walrus Audio Julia V2 analogue chorus/vibrato pedal
A subtle update for 2020
Walrus Audio’s Julia V2 is the newest incarnation of its analogue chorus/vibrato pedal, with a subtly updated layout and features.
Save space on your pedalboard
The Walrus Audio Julia V2 pedal has top mounted input/output jacks, which will allow it to fit on cramped pedalboards with ease. It also has click-less bypass switching.
New Art
They have updated the artwork compared to the original versions of the 2016 released Julia. It now sports a design by illustrator Adam Forster and will also be one of the first pedals to have the Walrus Audio logo stamped into its backplate.
d-c-v
I think the updates are subtle, but still worthwhile and I especially think that the top mounted jack plugs is a useful feature. Apart from these enhancements, it is essentially the same tasty analogue chorus/vibrato effect that we all know and love.
The Julia V2 has controls for Lag, Dry-Chorus-Vibrato Blend, and selectable analog LFO wave shapes, making it a great modulation pedal choice for your rig. Is the V2 version enough got make you want to change? Probably not, but if you were in the market for one anyway, you may as well hold out for one.
RRP – USD 199
