NAMM 2020: Zoom G11 – multi-effect flagship from Japan
New heavyweight Zoom G11 multi-effect unit announced at NAMM
The latest Zoom flagship multi-effects processor in a floor pedal can be seen at Winter NAMM, the new G11 packs some serious punch and crams in a ton of effects.
Zoom G11 multi-effects
It is the largest multi-effect from Zoom so far and is also equipped with new signal processing and therefore offers new amps and effects that are not yet available in other G models.
In addition to the touch display, there is an amp section that can always be reached with the model and controls for gain, volume, presence and 3-band EQ . These include the well-known effect section crammed full of effects you need, which we understand are set up as modelled effect pedals and can be switched on individually and adjusted with 4 controls. The range of switches below is for the patch banks and for skipping presets .
It looks as though the Zoom G11 can only be played as an effects pedal board, via song mode or the patch mode.
Rear Panel Connectivity
Something has changed here as well: In addition to input and AUX-In, there are two FX loops, dual mono outputs, headphone out, expression input, MIDI in / out, 2x USB which are used as an audio interface and also for updates. There is also a remote connection for the in-house BTA1 Bluetooth controller and a master controller.
Could the unit be a rival for Line 6, Headrush, Kemper and Co?
RRP – TBC
