NAMM 2021: Ibanez Joe Satriani JS2410 now in Sky Blue
Satch goes Sky Blue for the new year!
The latest Ibanez Joe Satriani JS2410 signature model comes in a new finish for 2021 called Sky Blue and features all his favourite hardware and pickups. Earlier today we saw the new darker version of Steve Vai’s PIA model, but Satch’s signature JS2410 is a decidedly more vivid, upbeat choice.
Ibanez Joe Satriani JS2410 Sky Blue
Every year, Ibanez launches a sweet new signature model for Joe Satriani, and this year is no different. For 2021, Ibanez is offering the Joe Satriani JS2410 in a new Sky Blue finish, loaded with a set of his signature DiMarzio Mo’Joe (bridge) and Satch Track (neck) pickups in a bright red to offset that blue. These have a hi-pass filter on the volume control and a coil-tap switch on tone control; both are activated by a push/pull switch on each knob.
Mr Sky Blue
His signature model is based on an alder body and a bolt-on three-piece maple/bubinga neck loaded with a rosewood fretboard and subtle mother of pearl dot inlays. Other hardware includes Joe’s perennial favourite, the Ibanez Edge locking trem system, and an Ultralite tremolo arm. So no major surprises this year in terms of hardware, pickups and electronics.
I was kind of hoping for something more outlandish from Joe this year, but Ibanez probably thought, “If it ain’t broke…” I can see why the specs are the same as the previous Muscle Car Purple JS2450 model. Overall, it remains a very well thought our guitar and I like the new colour scheme a lot.
Tell us what you think of the new Joe Satriani JS2410 signature model in the comments section below. Does the new Sky Blue colour scheme make you want to go out and buy one?

Wow yes that’s a beautiful colour scheme, the best I’ve seen in my opinion yet not everyone in my family agrees. I love it and want one. I own the HAM 90 th anniversary too.
