NAMM 2023: What new gear are you looking forward to?
With the NAMM 2023 show just around the corner, we’re itching to see which brands have new gear to be revealed for the first time.
NAMM will be running from April 13-16 at the Anaheim Convention Center, Anaheim, California.
If you’re unfamiliar with the event, NAMM is a trade conference that has brought together manufacturers, professionals, and equipment dealers in the music, audio, and events sectors for over 100 years.
Last year we saw some exciting new instruments demoed and launched, including:
- Neve 88M audio interface
- Oberheim OB-X8 polyphonic synthesizer
- Focal Solo6 studio monitors
- SSL BUS+ advanced stereo compressor
- Adam Audio A7V studio monitors
- Austrian Audio OC16 Studio Set condenser microphone
- Dangerous Music 2-BUS-XT summing mixer
- Flock Audio Patch XT digital patchbay
What could we see at NAMM 2023?
There haven’t been that many new products launched so far this year. So, will this mean manufacturers be using NAMM as a launching pad once again? We certainly hope so!
The first on the list is the Focusrite Group. The Scarlett series is long overdue for an update, so we could see a new line of the famous red interfaces launched and it could coincide with some tasty new music production gear from Novation.
Now that Universal Audio‘s UAD plug-in range has gone native, will we see a new range of high-end audio interfaces without DSP? It’s been a while since we saw a new Apollo, while the Volt series has been making waves on the budget end of the market.
Audient has also been busy lately, so could we be seeing more studio gear from them?
What are your theories and which products are you hoping to see launched? Please let us know in the comments below!
