Nano CAIXA 104: Utility and style infused Eurorack case
The CAIXA 104 Eurorack case features an entire 104HP row of 1U utilities fully integrated into a stunning single row of modular. Plus the greatest modular marketing video ever produced.
CAIXA 104
Nano went to town on the marketing video for this Eurorack case. It’s completely fabulous, what a piece of work. Check it out:

Like all of the Nano Modules range the CAIXA 104 exudes class and restrained elegance. It’s a single row of 104HP with power points for up to 18 modules but what’s remarkable is the integrated row of 1U utilities that are baked into the top. Nano doesn’t have any 1U modules in the range and so this row is a bit of a departure.
There are 7 integrated modules that give you loads of connectivity and functions that would otherwise take up space in the 3U row. There’s a Balanced Inputs module, Buffered Multiples, a Precision Adder, a pair of LFOs, Sample & Hold, a Stereo Mixer and a Stereo & Headphone Out module. And finally, the Stereo inputs and outputs are mirrored on the back of the case on regular jacks.
Power
The case itself is made from lightweight aluminium and has a depth of 60mm or 47mm above the bus board. The chunky handle on the top also looks nice and solid. The 30W power system is run by an external 60W laptop-style power supply which keeps things simple. You can also buy a soft case for it.
The CAIXA 104 is simply gorgeous and could be a perfect little mobile performance case. Although I hope they’ll get around to doing a 7U one. The row of utilities really makes just versatile enough to be a viable system. I would have liked to see integrated MIDI or USB if I wanted to be really picky.
Price
At €649 it’s similar in price to the Intellijel 7U case which undoubtedly has a similar vibe going on. But for the price, you’re getting a row of utility modules that could easily cost £300-£400 individually. That does put a different perspective on it.
You can preorder the CAIXA 104 from Thomann for £555 and the soft case for £81 using our affiliate links.

Ridiculous price. Unattractive looks. Doesn’t come close to Palette case.
Ha, I would disagree in absolutely every respect 😀
I like the look. But I’d worry about scratches.
Maybe they can make a special version with MIDI and USB and call it the CAIXA Söze edition.
