New, affordable Larada Legion models from Abasi Concepts
Abasi Concepts most affordable Larada models yet
Tosin Abasi of Animals as Leaders fame has just announced the new Larada Legion range, a more affordable version of the ultra swish Abasi Concepts Larada models. Available in both 7- and 8-string versions, these guitars feature great hardware choices throughout.
Larada Legion
The new and relatively affordable Abasi Concepts Larada Legion models feature basswood bodies and bolt-on wenge necks with a compound radius ebony fingerboard, and 24 jumbo stainless steel frets. The necks have a thin U profile, multi-scale fanned frets, graphite nuts, and a set of Abasi Concepts locking tuners at the headstock. All guitars come loaded with a set of Fishman Fluence Tosin Abasi pickups.
With such high quality specs, these more affordable models should be able to handle all you can throw at them with ease.
Finish Options
Both 7- and 8-string models of the Larada Legion are available in Charcoal Burl with a poplar burl veneer top, as well as limited colours Blue Sage, Overcast, and Aquaburst, also with a poplar burl veneer top. All models have black hardware throughout, to offset those great finishes, and the necks have offset pearl dot fret markers. Overall, I personally really like the whole modern aesthetic of these models and think they look really good.
Great Value
All the guitars are sold with a hard case included in the price. Considering the high specs of these instruments, I think the prices are fairly reasonable. If you’re looking for a well spec’d modern guitar, the new Larada Legion models are great value for money.
RRP – 7-string Charcoal Burl USD 1799, Larada 8 Charcoal Burl USD 1899 and limited colours USD 1999

Since when is $2000 considered affordable ? Or are you not living on the same planet with the rest of us ?
I think if you are going to invest in a professional instrument that will last you a lifetime, then 2k is a pretty decent price. Especially, as these aren’t run of the mill ‘bog standard’ designs and have some features for players looking for a modern high spec guitar.
