New Harmony 6 Series tube amps: Vintage tones with modern features
New all-tube amp series from Harmony
Harmony has just launched three new all-tube combo amps. The voicing for the 6 Series amps is very much aimed at the vintage tone end of the market, although each amp has some very useful modern features, so they should be pretty versatile.
Harmony Series 6
The new Harmony Series 6 combos come covered in a deep blue Tolex and with a leather handle. The design looks vintage and has an angled baffle, but there are some great modern updates across all three new models, which makes them quite attractive for guitarists in 2021.
Harmony H650
The Harmony H650 has two 6L6 power tubes and four 12AX7 preamp tubes churning out 50 watts of power. The amp should deliver warm lows, rich mids, and glassy highs, and features an Italian-made 12″ Jensen Tornado Stealth speaker.
You get controls for Master, Presence, Tremolo Speed, Tremolo Depth, Reverb, Treble, Mid, Bass, and Gain, with a Pull Boost, along with a handy foot-switchable Boost, Tremolo, Loop, and Reverb. I like that it has an included attenuator, which lets you knock the output power down from to 1W, 0.1W, or even 0W for silent recording.
RRP – H650 Tube Combo USD 999
Harmony H620
The lower output H620 is rated at 20 watts of power, and is driven by two 6L6 power tubes and three 12AX7 preamp tubes. The speaker is the same 12″ Jensen Tornado Stealth as in the H650 model. The amp has controls for Master, Presence, Tremolo Speed, Tremolo Depth, Reverb, Treble, Mid, Bass, and Gain (Pull Boost), plus the same foot-switchable Boost, Tremolo, Loop, and Reverb option as the 50-watt version above.
Again, you have a power scaling attenuator which means you can go from the full 20 watts down to 1W, 0.1W, and 0W for silent recording.
RRP – H620 Tube Combo USD 649
Harmony H605
Last up is the smallest version. The Harmony H605 combo is powered by a single 6L6 power tube and two 12AX7 preamp tubes, to give you 5 watts of output power, via an 8″ Jensen P8R speaker.
The amp has controls for Master, Presence, Reverb, Treble, Mid, Bass, and Gain with a Pull Boost, along with foot-switchable Boost, Loop, and Reverb. So it has a lot of the features of the two larger combos above. And, the attenuator is included with this smaller model as well, so you can go from 5W to 1W, 0.1W, and 0W for silent recording.
RRP – H605 Tube Combo USD 549
USA, then ROW
UPDATE: After some initial confusion about where Harmony’s 6 Series is to be made available, we’re now certain that the Series 6 amps will first be available in the US. Release to international markets is to follow “very soon”, Harmony says. Overall, they look like a great set of amplifiers, with some nice modern features. You can hear them in action in the demo videos below.

No way are these made in USA with quality components sourced from USA for that price. Absolutely impossible. It may be assembled here but it’s not USA made… Impossible.
you are right.. but also if you check the amp on the back side it’s written made in China
