NEXI Industries plans signature effect pedals with Orianthi, the “Queen of Shred”
NEXI Industries signs up Orianthi for new signature effects pedals
The Australian guitarist Orianthi will work together with Dutch manufacturer NEXI Industries on the development of new effect pedals. Initially, this series will launch with two Orianthi Signature guitar effects suited for most genres.
Orianthi – “Queen of Shred”
Also known as “Queen of Shred”, Orianthi is an exceptional Australian guitarist who’s worked with such greats as Steve Vai and Carlos Santana. She even become a member of the band helping prepare for Michael Jackson’s “This is it” tour, which, as we all remember, never came about. The diminutive guitarist is often seen toting a PRS guitar and making it scream. Could this line of signature effects grow over time?
Orianthi Signature Effect Pedals
These pedals are “hybrid”, meaning they can be powered by either a 9V battery, an external power supply or the NEXI’s own pedalboard, “The Solution”. The splash-proof NEXI Pedalboard has a click-and-play system that allows pedals to be slotted in without the need for patch cords or additional power supplies.
At the time of writing this article, there’s not much in the way of details. But Orianthi has uploaded a video of herself playing through some prototypes on her Facebook page. We do know they will cost USD 99.50 each and that they should both be out in time for Winter NAMM 2019.
The company has been undauntedly expanding to its product line for a while now but has no huge endorsement deals with recognisable pro players. This new collaboration could really help them raise the company’s profile.
We look forward to finding out more and hearing what they come up with.
RRP – USD 99.50
