Novation celebrate the Circuit’s anniversary and tease an update
The Novation Circuit groovebox was released in October 2015. To celebrate its birthday Novation have been posting some original artwork that captures different moments in the Circuits evolution. Novation have suggested that we need to keep any eye on the Circuit users group of Facebook for news of something new on the 1st November.
They’ve been revealing these images every day since the 21st October. At the end of the yet-to-be-revealed series of images there’s a big question mark which when you hover the mouse reveals “Find out on November 1st”. Novation indicate that this is going to be more than a piece of artwork.
It hasn’t been that long since the 1.3 firmware update. Could this be a new firmware – version 2 perhaps? Could this mean new hardware? A Circuit Pro, perhaps, like they’ve done with the Launchpad? That would suck, though, because I’d much prefer that my Circuit can do more, rather than me being pushed into buying something new. It needs some stutter effects, it needs sample playback polyphony and the ability to hold longer chords and I’m sure all users have a personal wish list.
Along with the Korg reveal and a rumour of something from ROLI, November 1st is going to be an interesting day.
