Omnitronic PM-202 & PM-202FX: DJ Mixers at an Affordable Price
2-Channel Mixer with Bluetooth and Filter
Omnitronic introduces two new 2-channel DJ mixers, the PM-202 and PM-202FX, which are equipped with the most important features and are both very attractively priced. The lower priced PM-202 comes without effects, while the PM-202FX offers some effects for a small extra charge. Both mixers are already available for pre-order at Thomann*.
Omnitronic PM-202 & PM-202FX DJ Mixers
If you are looking for an affordable 2-channel mixer with the most important features, you should take a look at the new Omnitronic PM-202 and PM-202FX DJ mixers.
Both feature a typical 2-channel design, four line and two phono RCA inputs, plus an RCA record output and two master outputs (balanced XLR and RCA).
The two phono inputs can be converted to line inputs using a small slide switch on the rear panel – so if you connect two turntables, you only get two line inputs, which can be selected using the input selector switches on the channel strips.
A handy extra-especially for the party room is the Bluetooth input, which can be activated with a button. Music played via Bluetooth can also be assigned to both channels. Very nice!
The Mixers Feature a Typical 2-Channel Layout
In addition to a simple headphone output (for 1/4″ jacks), both mixers offer an XLR input on the left side for connecting dynamic microphones.
Looking at the mixer shows that the microphone channel is equipped with a 2-band EQ, just like the two regular channel strips. In addition to the EQ, the two main channels also have a gain control, but there is also a bipolar filter for each channel – not many DJ mixers in this price range have this.
Of course, both mixers also have cue buttons for pre-listening to channels 1 and 2. As usual with these mixers, the crossfader is located between the two line faders. The crossfader can also be reversed for battle mixing. Cool! The crossfader’s curve can also be adjusted.
On the right side are the typical controls for master output level, cue mix and cue level. What’s also interesting is the additional master output balance control, which is not necessarily standard.
The PM-202FX also offers six effects: chorus, reverb, delay, flanger, phase, and wah. These are activated by illuminated buttons and adjusted by a rotary knob.
Of course, the two Omnitronic mixers are no “game changers”, but rather affordable DJ mixers aimed at beginners and people who need an affordable mixer for small parties or mobile gigs.
Availability and Pricing
The two DJ mixers will be available at the end of March, but you can already order them from Thomann*.
