Origin Effects DCX Boost and DCX Bass
610 Preamp tones for your guitar and your bass
Origin Effects DCX Boost and DCX Bass are the latest two pedals from the UK pedal maker. Based on the Universal Audio 610 Preamp, these two pedals should prove popular with musicians that need a little extra oomph. These studio-grade tone enhancers could be just what you need.
DCX Boost
The DCX Boost comes with Level, Drive, High-Frequency and Low-Frequency controls. It has two operating modes; OD and EQ.
Modes
EQ mode is designed to be responsive to playing dynamics and also the guitar controls. It is described as somewhere between clean and overdriven, with a seamless transition and a treble roll-off when it is pushed hard.
Then OD mode rolls off top-end and has three distinct modes labelled Dark, Flat and Medium.
MSRP – GBP 259 / USD 349

Described by Origin Effects as offering a “massive range of gain, ranging from clean boosts and direct-to-console sounds, through to edge-of-breakup and low gain drives, all the way to almost fuzz-like tones, reminiscent of a retro recording console.”
