Percussa SSP update features multichannel USB audio and CV support
Percussa’s remarkable SSP (Super Signal Processor) Eurorack module is about to receive a major update which will include multichannel audio and CV support over USB.
Percussa SSP update
Electronic music producer Matthew Hodson (MATTHS) has been hosting a number of live streaming events on the Percussa SSP Eurorack module. The 5th live-stream is due on the 24th July and will feature Percussa’s founder Bert Schiettecatte talking about this new multichannel functionality. Matt will be exploring the update and using Ableton Live’s new CV Tools to route CV to and from the SSP.
The update allows the SSP to stream up to 24 channels of audio over USB but that could also be CV, triggers, gates or anything else via it’s class compliant USB interface. It has 16 audio inputs and 8 outputs, all DC coupled, and can run all it’s internal modular patches and sampling at the same time. It will run on MacOS or Windows at sample rates up to 192kHz with 24 channels at 48kHz, 16 channels at 96kHz and 8 channels at 192kHz.
The SSP is already packed full of functionality as a 3D morphing wavetable oscillator, sampler, LFO, filter, sequencer and a whole load of effects. The ability to use muliple channels of audio and CV over USB makes complete sense.
We’ll learn more about it in the live stream next week:
