MIDI meets Precision: The Phase Pro Introduced at NAMM 2025
At the heart of the Phase Pro is an innovative motion detection system that uses a new rotation sensor to accurately register rotation in real time. With up to 15 hours of battery life, the unit also allows for longer DJ sets without interruption. DVS is a good move for those with 10000 or more tunes on vinyl. Those tunes were made when vinyl was PLAYED and a tune cost £5.99, rather than being the collector’s item that it is today at £60. 😁 DVS means you can play all those ‘never record-company-pressed white labels’ again. A good medium for people who want to mix digital with analogue, but you do notice a difference in loudness, as vinyl has a dynamic range/volume limited by the depth of the groove, as you don’t want the stylus to jump. Maybe they should improve the groove and record player pickups and styluses to fit modern dynamics, and improved cutting lathes and plate pressers?
