Prolight + Sound 2025 celebrates its 30th anniversary in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, and focuses on the future of event and entertainment technology. From April 8 to 11, 2025, manufacturers, decision-makers, technicians and creative people will meet in Frankfurt to experience the latest developments and to network. In addition to the latest technologies, this year’s focus will be on sustainable concepts, immersive experiences and modern theatre and stage technology.
Prolight + Sound 2025: All About the Latest Trends in Lighting, Sound and Stage Technology
For three decades, Prolight + Sound (formerly Musikmesse Frankfurt) has established itself as a leading international trade fair with a wide range of products and innovations. Many well-known exhibitors such as Adam Hall, Ayrton, Clay Paky, Elation, MA Lighting, RCF and Robe have already confirmed their participation. The event will feature new formats, special educational opportunities and enhanced networking to promote interaction between industry professionals and young talent.
A highlight of the show will be the three main themes: ProGreen, FutureScapes and Theatre & Stage Technology. The ProGreen area is dedicated to sustainable solutions in the event industry and presents innovative products for energy-efficient events. **FutureScapes highlights the role of immersive technologies and artificial intelligence in the event industry. The redesigned *Theatre & Stage Technology Area* offers a mix of exhibition, networking and educational opportunities. For the first time, Theatre Talk will be held here, where experts can exchange information about new products and concepts for theatrical productions.
New Technologies for Lighting, Sound and Event Technology
Of course, there are also exciting innovations in the field of ProAudio. In the Live Sound Arena, high-performance sound systems will be demonstrated under real-life conditions. At the Silent Stage, InEar will present innovative monitoring solutions. The ProAudio College, in cooperation with the German Association of Audio Engineers (VdT), offers top-class workshops on the latest developments in the live and studio sector. The MixLab, which interactively combines live and studio technology and offers practical insights to sound enthusiasts, celebrates its premiere.
In addition to audio and lighting technology, Prolight + Sound also offers exciting content in the field of image and video technology. The Image Creation Hub, a cooperation with the German Association of Television Cinematographers, is the central meeting place for experts from the film and broadcasting industries. In hands-on workshops, participants can learn about the latest camera technologies and image processing methods.
Sustainability, AI and a Big Party: The Top Themes at Prolight + Sound 2025
The trade fair will place special emphasis on sustainability and the promotion of young talent. In the Future Hub, educational institutions will provide information about career opportunities, while the Career Center will facilitate direct contact between companies and job seekers.
And, of course, the Community Nights are an integral part of the 30th anniversary of Prolight + Sound. Participants can network in a relaxed atmosphere at various locations in Frankfurt. A special highlight is the big 30th anniversary PLS birthday party on April 9, 2025 at Depot 1899.
